The screw spike is typically fabricated from superior NO.3 steel. Its distinctive design features a threaded nail rod surface, giving it the name 'screw spike'. Its pull-out resistance surpasses that of common rail spikes by 0.5 to 1.0 times, although its thrust resistance is reduced by 50%. Due to the complexity of disassembly and reassembly, as well as the challenge of adjusting rail gauge, it is predominantly utilized on the railway turnout.
