The Screw Spike, crafted from high-grade NO.3 steel, stands out due to its threaded surface, earning its distinct name. Offering a pull-out resistance up to 1.0 times greater than conventional rail spikes, it excels in holding power. However, it offers 50% less thrust resistance. Its design makes disassembly challenging, which can complicate rail gauge adjustments, making it ideal for specific use cases such as at the railway turnout.
